Breeding our dogs is a labour of love for us. All our dogs are pets first, enjoying the life and freedom of our acreage. They are outside most days (except when too hot/cold/rainy) and spend it in a 4-acre pen with a huge pond for cooling off. At supper time, they are brought in for feeding and family time. They spend nights sleeping in our home. These dogs do not have the coat required for our Prairie winters, so they spend proper time indoors during those days.
If you choose to get a puppy from us, you can expect a very happy and healthy pup. All our pups get the required checkups, age-specified shots, and deworming. All will have their tails docked unless prior arrangements have been made. You will receive your pup’s health record and a care package to get you started. We are not experts, but we have significant experience and are only a phone call away if you have any questions or concerns.
Not everyone is a good match for a medium-sized dog, so we reserve the right not to sell to anyone we deem a poor fit for one of our pups. We will ask questions about you and your family, yard, house, other pets, and more, to confirm that you will be a good match.
We prefer if you are able to come in person to pick up your pup. We love meeting the new owners. If distance prevents this, your pup can be shipped by air. The cost of shipping will be added to the price of your pup, and this will include the crate and health certificate required by airlines for shipping. In the summertime, it is very difficult to get a flight for a pup as the airlines suspend pet shipments, due to heat.
Ground shipping of pets is becoming very popular. There are various ground transport providers that specialize in this work. If you choose this route, it will be up to you to arrange. Some of these companies are very reputable and provide a safe, loving environment for your new pup. Please do your homework on this one, as your puppy has never been alone and may find the transportation difficult. The shortest possible duration is desirable.
